![]() ![]() I just happened to come across that video today. I played the game back when it came out 5 years ago and it still sticks with me over how it went off the deep end. Play the second game till about half way through and you'll see how insane it is. Just trying to think about makes my own head (figuratively) explode. ![]() Not only that but you find out that every crime ever committed was actually planned in advance by a higher order within the world who make crimes happen. You have to find these small devices on the wall which are also causing birds to explode. About halfway through, you have your vocal cords changed and you now have the ability to scream extremely loudly to the point that peoples heads explode(no joke). You go from a broken down ex-police officer fighting bad dudes in (an admittedly) scary setting. For those who haven't played it, the game completely loses it's story and goes into "What the hell territory". That game.just wow WTF happened in the writing room. ![]() I heard the game went nuts at the end, but I never knew to what extent. My friend had eventually rented the game and told me about a scene where you control a cop who's at an insane asylum when all the inmates are randomly released and she has to hold her breath while hiding to avoid getting attacked. ![]() There was supernatural stuff, but it all seemed pretty grounded and interesting. You're then given control and have to clean up the crime scene best you can, then get out of there which is where the demo ends. Another guy enters the bathroom and the main character stabs him, killing him. Some shots of a cultist elsewhere are shown and it's clear he's somehow controlling the guy in the bathroom. The game starts out with the main character sitting in a diner's bathroom, cutting himself with a knife. We each had completely different experiences. I remember playing the demo for this, thinking it was awesome and getting my friend to try it out. I was actually about to make a thread asking what game completely loses its shit partway through. ![]()
